Envision

I envision a school where children are listened to, that the time is taken to deeply know them

I envision a place where children are not mere numbers on a spreadsheet or report, that boys and girls are not defined by such numbers, but where we accept children as they are and strive for individual improvement

I envision the halls where smiles abound and laughter resides, where children are greeted and met with dignity

I envision a school where children know where they are and know where they need to go

I envision a school that sings, dances, draws, and performs

I envision a place where teachers' creativity is harnessed, where new and innovative ideas are brought forth with vigor

I envision a school that though surrounded by darkness, poses as a beacon of radiating light for those that pass by can only stop and behold in wonder

I envision a school where one walks in and feels the spirit that is so wonderful, there are not words to describe it

I envision a night when I return home and know that I have done my best, having put on my hat of creativity and made the life of a child better

I envision a place where when I fall, ten, twenty, two hundred hands help me up

I envision a student body that blows away my highest of expectations

I envision a place where, by the time students leave, there are tears because it's just that special

And lastly, I envision a school RISING FROM THE ASHES LIKE A PHOENIX WHOSE ONLY LIMITS WILL BE THE EXTENT OF THEIR IMAGINATIONS

This is what I envision.
