It's a bit scary when I think about what my own children (4th and 5th graders) along with all children for that matter are going to face in twenty years. What futurists are telling us is that many of the jobs that those children will compete for are not even created yet. Add to that our connectivity and the results is a more connected, yet more competitive world.
Education has sacred cows. There are practices that go on where we have to ask ourselves, "Why do we continue doing this?"
We must look at the answers critically and see if that fits what we would consider best practices.
I'm excited for the future and a little apprehensive. What will our children need to know to be productive?
Hmmm.
