Today, was a great day! We are starting to see fruits of hard labor in the work we've done here at school this last spring and into fall. Most notably, the increase of students' positive behavior. I've seen growth in so many students!
Couple this with a great collaboration day with teachers and professionals who were in the building, and we have some things to really celebrate.

Open House Tonight
Open House is tonight. We're looking forward to seeing parents and having them see what great work we're doing at Outlook.

The Importance of Community
Well, we had our first community forum on October 2nd, called WHAT COUNTS IN SUNNYSIDE. This was a very successful night, as we had close to 70 parents come and discuss what is most important to them and the qualities of effective schools.
Topping the list from parents were: SAFE AND ORDERLY SCHOOLS and SMALL CLASS SIZES!
I was most impressed by our School Improvement Staff and how they worked hard to facilitate and manage the groups. Their efforts this year has changed the way we work as an School Improvement Team.
